Vickie

We've been living and singing in the
Baltimore/DC area for over 13 years. Formerly with the band
“Southern Wings”, based in North Carolina, we resumed
our performing when our daughters began to show an interest in
singing. Now with the girls grown and both enjoying their own
careers in music, we're back performing and (we think) sounding better
than ever.
We both agree that love songs are our specialty probably
because they require no additional mood preparation. We've
just always assumed that our love for each other sort of bubbles up
into music. We both write, arrange and perform a wide
variety of styles from classic pop/folk, country and show tunes to a
rich array of original music. Our approach to music is simply
to ensure everyone is having a good time.
We especially enjoy performing at events where
something important is going on……like an anniversary, birthday,
wedding, welcome home celebration, fund-raiser, community outing
and....one of our favorite venues – the CLASSIC CUP Coffee
Shop in the WAVERLY WOODS complex in Woodstock, Maryland.
The relaxed ambience at the Classic Cup just
makes performing there a joy...AND, if lucky, you might hear Michael
(the owner) do some vintage Dean Martin...or even Eric Clapton. We
hope to see you there over the coming months.

Need a Band?? but
with some maturity yet whimsical, a little funky but completely
dependable yet fun and polite but with an unpredictable wit and
responsiveness to the audience and our hosts?? Perhaps the
perfect Band for you is relaxing just to the left. Folks say we fit practically anywhere...your
living room, deck, game
room, pool, large hallway or bathroom...and we sing practically every
style of music (It's true that love songs and tight harmonies are our specialty but our
version of Robert Palmer's 'Addicted to Love' is gaining us the much deserved
reputation for being 'on the edge' musically speaking. And, best
of all, we clean up well (see photo), mix well with all types of
guests... and can be surprisingly quiet (should you ever need that
quality in a band). Just click on 'Contact Us' and let us know what
you have in mind. |

In the Zone...so
nice
THANKS to all who came to our CD Release party! You can't
imagine how good it feels to have that kind of support. Of
course with the musicians sharing the stage with us...it had to be
great. They were Sara Beck on acoustic guitar and harmonies,
Park Chisolm on bass and Mark McPherson
on drums. If that wasn't enough, our oldest daughter Heather
(also a vocalist, dancer, actress) joined us for four songs. The Becks
have
never sounded so bright and tight. Vickie played and sang
her little A_ _ off and I don't think I've ever covered my mistakes
more artfully. Playing with a full band again really gets us
thinking...
